Why Live in Countryside

A suburb in League City, Countryside has community pools and a paved fitness trail close to home, while city shopping districts are just a couple of miles away. But the biggest draw to this area, also sometimes called Countryside South, is its home pricing. "It’s one of the few [neighborhoods] in town that is in the entry-level price range,” says Grant Rothberg, a Realtor with Keller Williams Houston Preferred who has eight years of experience. “There are starter-home options and some larger and newer properties that run a little higher.” The community is also within 10 miles of Johnson Space Center, a major employer for over 11,000 NASA contractors and government workers. The neighborhood consists of single-family homes priced from $250,000 to $500,000, varying by square footage and age. Many rambler and Craftsman-inspired homes were built in the 1970s and ‘80s, while contemporary-style and custom homes from the 2000s through today are also available. The Countryside Homeowners’ Association maintains neighborhood amenities like the local pool and enforces the zoning bylaws homeowners must abide by when building new homes or remodeling. The neighborhood has a CAP Index Crime Score
