Home styles and prices in Perkerson
Most houses in Perkerson were built between the 1950s and '80s, but several date back to before 1950. "The housing stock is older here, but much of it is in good shape," says Realtor Juli St George of Keller Williams Realty Intown Atlanta. She's sold homes across the city for over a decade. "And people like it because the land lots are large." You will mainly find ranch-style homes, cottages and bungalows that measure 1,000 to 2,000 square feet and have at least two bedrooms. While garages are rare, most homes have attached carports that typically fit one car. Homes generally sell from the mid-$100,000s to the upper $300,000s. The community doesn't have many sidewalks, but locals still enjoy occasional walks and bike rides. The neighborhood is lined with towering pines and maples that partially shade most of the streets.
