The neighborhood does have options like Thai restaurants, pizza places and burger joints, though, for those who prefer other cuisines. “My roommates and I love getting Chicago’s Pizza,” says Brooke Mikell, a student at the nearby University of Texas at San Antonio. “It’s really good. The restaurant is family-owned and has a nice laidback vibe.” Most get groceries at Walmart or H-E-B and do the rest of their shopping at the nearby Wonderland of the Americas, home to shops like Hobby Lobby, Target and Ross.
