"Bluffton Park is a little anomaly," says local broker Maria Skrip of RE/MAX Dream. She's sold homes with her husband, Chris Skrip, for over a decade. "It's a hidden little gem. You've got Charleston-looking homes with cute vinyl siding. Plus, the neighbors are really cool." Folks tend to stick together in Bluffton Park. "They take care of one another in there," Skrip says. "When Hurricane Matthew came through, they had hurricane parties. They had a cookout when the power went out so all the food wouldn't go bad." Its proximity to the charm of Old Town Bluffton adds to its appeal. "So many people take their golf carts to Old Town Bluffton," Skrip says. "You're within easy walking or biking distance to all that's there."

Charleston-inspired homes sit behind sidewalk-lined streets
Sidewalks run in front of nearly every home in Bluffton Park, sprinkled with leaves from mature trees. Small cement paths connect porches from the sidewalk, so residents often wave to passing strollers from Adirondacks or rocking chairs. A few homes have Charleston-inspired double-decker porches with room for more outdoor furniture. Each contemporary colonial, cottage and Lowcountry style home was built in the early 21st century on a small lot just under a quarter-acre. A few white-picket fences enclose manicured front lawns, and taller privacy fences close off backyards. Niche ranks Bluffton High School as the best in the county
Beaufort County School District earns an overall A-minus on Niche and serves nearly 22,000 students. Red Cedar Elementary School scores an A-minus on Niche, while Bluffton Middle School scores a B-plus. Bluffton Park has a large community pool at the corner of Fifth and Seventh Avenue. It overlooks one of the community's lakes and offers plenty of seating with umbrellas. Lake Isabelle has a small, paved path and a few benches. Every lake in the community has surrounding green space where owners bring their pets. Plus, plenty of dog bags and trash bins surround each lake. Oscar Frazier Park features three baseball fields and a soccer field for local leagues and recreational play. The park is the nearest public space for outdoor recreation, within walking distance of most homes. It has a playground for the kids and a small walking trail that wraps around a large green field.
