Shawnee Estates offers various prices in booming Bowling Green
Shawnee Estates covers a large area of south Bowling Green, about 4 miles from downtown. This area's different communities cater to a mix of buyers, but the location is the common draw. "Bowling Green is booming, and here you're close to all the industrial parks and hospitals and developments popping up," says Realtor Jane Parrott with Re/Max Real Estate Executives, who's been selling Bowling Green since 1988. "Bowling Green is Kentucky's third largest city, but it's growing more than anywhere else," says Parrott. "We've got the Corvette plant, the Fruit of the Loom headquarters, the big hospitals. Everywhere you look, there's something new." Whether they are in a 1960s suburban tract or a small, gated community, residents of Shawnee Estates are a short drive from all of Bowling Green's industry and activity.

The Shawnee Estates community, the area's namesake, is on the neighborhood's north end. It's a large development of 1960s ranch-style homes, much like the rest of the area, with lots of green space and tree cover. These homes range from $200,000 to $350,000.
