The neighborhood also has convenient access to Interstate 95, connecting to popular hubs in Delray and Boca Raton. However, numerous redevelopment projects by the City of Boynton Beach have shown homebuyers that this is a prime spot to drop their anchors. “There has been a bunch of money put into developing downtown,” Campbell says. “It’s become artsier with lots of new investments.”

Multiple green spaces dot the residential areas of Downtown Boynton. Pioneer Canal Park features tennis and basketball courts and a boat ramp. To the east of the neighborhood, Oceanfront Park welcomes visitors to the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The park is open 365 days a year, and its facilities range from playgrounds to picnic areas. South Florida may be known for its year-round sunshine, but the neighborhood still has multiple spots for indoor recreation. Sunshine Square sits along 18th Avenue and provides immediate shopping and dining to the neighborhood, including a Publix. For more extensive retail therapy, Boynton Beach Mall is 3 miles away and features everything from big-name brands to a movie theatre. Two Georges Waterfront Grille and Banana Boat are popular seafood restaurants that sit across from each other on the Intracoastal. “Those two places are a lot of fun,” Campbell says. “They get pretty lively in the afternoon.” Banana Boat has been a fixture of the area since it first started serving fresh seafood in 1971.
