Suburban Neighborhood in Boynton Beach, Florida
Palm Beach County 33426, 33435

Pastel-colored ranchers and high-rise condos
Downtown Boynton features a variety of accessible residential options for homebuyers looking to get their own slice of South Florida. “This is one of the more affordable areas when compared to Boca Raton or Del Ray because you have a little bit of everything,” Campbell says. Pastel-colored ranchers are the predominant single-family style, although Spanish Revivals can be found sprinkled throughout. Older homes from the 1970s cost between $150,000 and $300,000, while renovated builds average $500,000. Many of these residences have well-manicured front lawns and backyard swimming pools. Multifamily townhouses and high-rise condos overlooking the water range between $100,000 and $400,000. Grand waterfront estates with private boat docks are available on the neighborhood's eastern end. These builds sit along the intracoastal waterway and price between $1 million and $3 million. Proximity to the coast comes with wind and flooding risks associated with hurricanes. Palm Beach County encourages residents to elect flood insurance and provides numerous resources to homeowners on its website.Oceanfront Park is open 365 days a year
Multiple green spaces dot the residential areas of Downtown Boynton. Pioneer Canal Park features tennis and basketball courts and a boat ramp. To the east of the neighborhood, Oceanfront Park welcomes visitors to the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The park is open 365 days a year, and its facilities range from playgrounds to picnic areas. South Florida may be known for its year-round sunshine, but the neighborhood still has multiple spots for indoor recreation. The Boynton Beach Arts & Cultural Center was completely renovated in 2018 and has hosted revolving performing and visual arts exhibits since 2020. Nearby, the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum encourages young visitors to explore historical interactive learning displays that emphasize art, culture and the humanities.Enroll in the Aerospace Science Program at Boynton Beach Community High School
Palm Beach County Public Schools serves the neighborhood’s younger residents. Forest Park Elementary, Congress Community Middle School and Boynton Beach Community High School all received a C-plus rating on Niche and offer structured academic pathways. Students can enroll in the International Baccalaureate Program at Forest Park Elementary, which aims to increase participants' understanding of intercultural values through international education. Congress Community Middle School prepares its students for future careers with pre-engineering and pre-medical sciences academies. Boynton Beach Community High School has partnered with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to develop an Aerospace Science Program. Lake Worth Christian School is a PreK-12 private school option for parents to consider.City-wide events and celebrations
The City of Boynton Beach hosts numerous events designed to bring residents together throughout the year. “By moving here, not only are you getting a great destination, you’re getting a great level of public service,” says Dan Dugger, the city manager of Boynton Beach. Gatherings range from big holiday festivities like the Juneteenth “Celebration of Freedom” to video game tournaments and family movie matinees. Summer is capped off with a 4th of July Celebration, complete with food, drink and a waterfront fireworks display.
Head down Interstate 95
Interstate 95 runs straight through the neighborhood and connects to West Palm Beach in the north and Boca Raton in the south. Palm Beach International Airport is 14 miles away. The PalmTran services multiple bus stops throughout the neighborhood. Boat owners have easy access to the open waters of the Atlantic via the Boynton Inlet.Popular waterfront restaurants
Sunshine Square sits along 18th Avenue and provides immediate shopping and dining to the neighborhood, including a Publix. For more extensive retail therapy, Boynton Beach Mall is 3 miles away and features everything from big-name brands to a movie theatre. Two Georges Waterfront Grille and Banana Boat are popular seafood restaurants that sit across from each other on the Intracoastal. “Those two places are a lot of fun,” Campbell says. “They get pretty lively in the afternoon.” Banana Boat has been a fixture of the area since it first started serving fresh seafood in 1971. Bethesda Hospital East has a nationally recognized orthopedic total joint replacement program just south of the neighborhood.
