Logan Wood is a Canton suburb as calm as any, with a mix of neat, well-kept homes and historic dwellings fit for a facelift. “The area has a very rich, historic home feel,” says Realtor Christian Nye of Hayes Realty. “It’s a nice area because you’re within walking distance of coffee shops and local businesses.” Residential streets funnel toward Downtown Canton, where events, especially those surrounding football, are a popular annual pastime. Logan Wood’s proximity to downtown makes all this walkable.
All roads lead to Downtown Canton
First Friday, a monthly event where folks gather downtown, is a staple for supporters of small businesses. “It’s a really big coming-together of vendors and food trucks downtown,” says Nye. “You’re not far in Logan Wood, so you can walk downtown and see people with their faces painted. Plus, there’s the Hall of Fame Parade each year.” Also known as the Grand Parade, this gathering actually passes Logan Wood on its way downtown honoring each year's Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees who ride in convertibles alongside local high school bands. “That’s the funny thing,” says Nye. “Canton isn’t all that big; but there’s only one Football Hall of Fame I know of, and it’s here.”
