Pine Hill is a neighborhood of interlocking residential streets wedged between United States Route 3 and Interstate 495 in northern Massachusetts. Locals have proximity to numerous conveniences, ranging from small shopping centers and the town of Burlington to recreational spots, like the Merrimack River and conservation areas. “Everything’s close,” says Anthony Piacenza, an associate broker with Re/Max. “For people who work in Boston, it’s an attractive area. There is a lot of industry in Burlington, so there are a lot of jobs, but it's ideal if you need to commute to Boston. People use 495 and the expressway to get around.” Shoppers can also travel across the New Hampshire state line, about 15 miles north of Pine Hill, to shop without sales tax at the Pheasant Lane Mall.

The streets are lined with a variety of architecture, which primarily includes Colonial-style homes, Cape Cods and ranch-style homes. “Housing is very mixed,” Piacenza says. “The aesthetic here is all different decades. You have a lot of older homes, because Chelmsford’s an old town. There are homes from the 1700s there, but there are also brand-new constructions.” Prices can vary just as much, with single-family properties usually ranging from about $700,000 to nearly $1.4 million or higher. Some condos also sit in Pine Hill and can cost between $400,000 and $500,000. The neighborhood has yet to receive a CAP Index Crime Score.
