There are many jobs but they do not pay the bills. Most of the jobs in this area are part time and minimum wage, not enough to really live off of. The jobs are good for students and young adults but not very good for parents and people who have bills to pay.

Great area, lived here with my parents for a while. Safe for the most part. Very rare shootings do happen on 55th but other than that it's safe. Living east of Pulaski, north of 55th, south of 51st, is the best part of the area.
