Interquest is a busy commercial hub with lots of restaurants

Interquest is a newer community on the north side of Colorado Springs that combines everyday convenience with a wide range of housing options. Many residents can walk from their townhomes, condos and New Traditional houses to InterQuest Marketplace, a commercial center filled with restaurants and businesses. Commuters can take Interstate 25 for a short drive downtown or head north to Denver. Buyers are also drawn to the area's top schools and nearby event centers like the Ford Amphitheater.

What buyers often pay for townhomes, condos and New Traditional houses

Interquest is one of the newer neighborhoods of Colorado Springs, and most of its homes were built after 2005. There are plenty of contemporary townhomes and condos, which can run from about $300,000 to the lower $500,000s and usually carry HOA fees. New Traditional homes often range from the lower $400,000s to roughly $600,000. These houses can have rear decks with views of the Front Range mountains and Pikes Peak. The community tends to be much less expensive than nearby areas like Pine Creek, Kettle Creek and Black Forest. Around 40% of residents are renters, who typically live in apartments.

Visit a brewery and shop at Scheels while at InterQuest Marketplace

The community centers around InterQuest Marketplace, a large retail center with restaurants and other businesses that serves as a downtown-style gathering space. "It's a bustling area with lots of walking around," says Aimee Fletcher, a real estate agent with The Fletcher Team and Associates and EXP Realty. "There is quite a bit to do." You can grab food at spots like:

  • Colorado Mountain Brewery, a casual spot for craft beers and state-inspired entrees
  • Uva Wine Bar, an upscale space with more than 200 wines by the bottle
  • Parry's, a regional chain with New York-style pizza
There are also several national chain restaurants in the retail center, and a handful of independent spots outside of it, including Atmosphere Gastropub. It's a popular New American restaurant with elevated options like duck poutine.

InterQuest Marketplace is anchored by the city's only Scheels location. The sporting goods store is known for its indoor Ferris wheel and aquarium. For more traditional clothing stores, you can head to The Promenade Shops at Briargate, which is home to Lululemon and Fabletics, among others.

Students are zoned for Academy School District 20

Students fall under Academy School District 20, which is highly rated by Niche. The district's Pine Creek High School has an Advanced Placement Capstone program that includes seminars and research classes. Pikes Peak Christian School is a private option less than 10 miles away.

Interstate 25 helps drivers get to downtown Colorado Springs

Interstate 25 can take drivers through the rest of the city, or roughly 60 miles north to Denver, but people often don't need to leave the neighborhood. “For convenience, you can hop right on the highway, but when you get home, you can walk to anything you need,” Fletcher says. Downtown Colorado Springs is less than 15 miles away, and commuting there can take 15-25 minutes during rush hour traffic. The U.S. Air Force Academy and other military bases are also within a few miles.

The neighborhood is close to John Venezia Community Park

There isn't much green space in the commercial neighborhood, though Victory Ridge Park has a basketball court and a playground. A few miles away, Mary Kyer Park has sports fields, a pet-friendly walking path and a pond. The ranch-themed John Venezia Community Park draws a crowd with its large playground and picnic areas. It also has 2 miles of sidewalks that connect to Briargate Trail, which is often used for jogging and biking. If residents feel like taking a staycation, they can visit Great Wolf Lodge, which is filled with rides and waterslides.

You can go to concerts at the nearby Ford Amphitheater

You can easily attend events in nearby communities throughout the year. The Ford Amphitheater hosts concerts from big-name artists, and Falcon Stadium is where the U.S. Air Force Academy football team plays its home games. The Briargate Farmers Market is held weekly in the summer and fall.

GreatSchools: The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
