Farmers markets and movie nights in New Albany
Residents can drive to New Albany for local events because the community is so close to West Albany. The Independence Day Parade and Festival showcases live entertainment and food trucks and ends with fireworks. The city's summer movie series occurs at a different park each month. At the Healthy New Albany Farmers Market, visitors can get fresh produce, baked goods and other artisanal products throughout the year, though it moves indoors for the winter.

With the new jobs coming, it will be developed even more."

Learning vocational skills at Beechcroft High School
Students in West Albany attend Avalon Elementary School for kindergarten through third grade. The school earns a C-minus from Niche. For fourth and fifth grades, students go to Northgate Intermediate School, which Niche gives a C. Pupils then advance to Woodward Park Middle and Beechcroft High, both schools holding a C-minus overall rating from Niche. Students at Beechcroft High can participate in Columbus' Career-Technical Education (CTE) program and develop vocational skills.
