Karis is a master-planned community in Crowley with new homes and plenty of amenities. Residents can enjoy miles of walking trails and sidewalks, along with an amenity center and an on-site school. There’s easy access to the broader Dallas- Fort Worth Metroplex, which means residents aren’t sacrificing convenience for a quiet neighborhood.
Karis began building residences in 2024 and has grown rapidly since. Builders like Cadence Homes and Chesmar Homes create open concept floor plans in contemporary and New Traditional homes and townhouses. You can expect to pay between the mid-$200,000s and the mid-$500,000s, with prices varying by size and layout. “The beautiful homes have brought in new families while still complementing the close-knit community feel that Crowley is known for,” says Cristina Winner, Crowley’s assistant city manager.
The Crowley Independent School District serves the neighborhood and receives a B-minus from Niche. Crowley Montessori Academy is in the neighborhood and offers preschool through sixth grade. “The addition of Crowley Montessori Academy has been an exciting opportunity for families, providing another outstanding educational option right within the Karis neighborhood,” Winner says.

Part of Karis’ appeal is its location. Crowley Road runs through the neighborhood, making it easy to access nearby highways, including Farm to Market 1187 and Interstate 35 West. You can reach Downtown Fort Worth in about 15 miles (30 minutes during rush hour) and Downtown Dallas in about 45 miles (just over an hour during rush hour).
The neighborhood’s trails are used for more than recreation. “Within Crowley, many neighborhoods have been designed with sidewalks and trails, making it easier for residents to walk, bike and enjoy the community close to home,” Winner says. You can walk less than a mile to downtown Crowley in about 20 minutes.

Karis has a lifestyle director who helps plan events like Taco Truck Tuesday and Toddler Time to bring people in the neighborhood together, but there’s also plenty going on in Crowley. Some of the more popular events at Crowley Crossing Plaza are Music on Main Street, a free summer concert series, and Crowley Market on Main, a farmers market that runs from March through October.
