Within the neighborhood are John J. McLaughlin Cumberland Hill School, rated B-plus by Niche, and North Cumberland Middle School, which has an A rating. The local high school is Cumberland High School, the alma mater of current Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee. Cumberland High School has a B-plus rating from Niche.

When the leaves change, people come to the town park to get scared at 13th World, an outdoor haunted house that opens every night after the sun sets. Getting around from Grant Mills-Diamond Hill is easy. State Routes 114, 120 and 122 pass through the neighborhood. The area is also minutes from Route 146, the Worcester-Providence Turnpike. Providence is about 18 miles south, and Boston is 44 miles away to the north.
