Vickery is convenient to downtown Dallas by car and by public transport. DART rail orange and red lines serve Walnut Hill Station and Park Lane Station, both located in the community. Buses shuttle across most roads in the neighborhood, from Walnut Hill Lane to Fair Oaks Avenue. While public transport is accessible, several residents drive to get around. Interstates 75 and 12 meet at the neighborhood's southwestern corner. And commuters headed into Downtown Dallas have an 8-mile trip down I-75.
