Every September, residents attend the highly anticipated Deerfield Harvest Fest. “Not only do residents from Deerfield look forward to the fest, but residents from nearby Bannockburn and Riverwoods attend too,” says David-Fitzgerald Sullivan, Communications Coordinator for the village. “Regional and local bands perform, and people are dancing in the streets. It’s really a great time.” The highlight of the event is a cornhole tournament, referred to as “bags” by locals, bringing out the competitive spirit of the neighborhood. “In addition to food, drinks and entertainment, residents really look forward to seeing their neighbors,” Sullivan adds.
