The Strategic Neighborhood Fund has also targeted this area as part of their initiative to revive communities across Detroit.

On Park Grove Street, The Haven Family Center hosts adult game nights, safe youth lunches and weekly wellness suppers. Maple Ridge borders the Seven Mile and Gratiot corridors, with many long-standing local businesses. Afro-Centric Connections has a selection of apothecary items and accessories sourced from Africa.
