Blue collar environment in northeast El Paso
Bradley gives homebuyers access to single-family homes and proximity to schools and outdoor activities in northeast El Paso. Homes here are typically one-story with brick accents or painted with lighter colors. Smaller properties usually opt for brick or tile out front instead of grass. Backyards in Bradley either have grass or pools. Streets also bear the names of sports stars or cities in Texas. The neighborhood is “blue collar” in nature, says Patrick Tuttle, a broker with Coldwell Banker Heritage Real Estate. Tuttle says the area is also home to military families and those who work for the Border Patrol, as Fort Bliss and the border patrol facilities are within commuting distance.

Ranch-style homes with no HOA fees
Homes range between $200,000 and $350,000, with Ranch-styles being the most common. The community also has no homeowner’s association. Tuttle says most properties contain three or four bedrooms and considered “starter homes.” Bradley’s homes, most of which were built in the 1970s and 1980s, remain on the market for about 35 days, shorter than the national average. The community is attractive to military members, Border Patrol agents and their families, as Fort Bliss and the U.S. Mexico border are located 10 miles and 13 miles south, respectively.

Students start at Dr. Joseph E. Torres Elementary School in the neighborhood with a B-minus on Niche. The school offers pupils a dual language program and an orchestra. Students continue to B-rated Charles Middle School and C-plus rated Andress High School. El Paso Community College’s Transmountain Campus is 4 miles south.

Veterans Park, south of the community, features several baseball diamonds, a skatepark and an indoor pool. The 28-acre Joe Barraza and Vino Memorial Park is northeast of Bradley and contains several soccer fields, baseball facilities and a dog park. Barron Park has walking paths, basketball courts and a covered playground. Trailheads for hiking and biking into the nearby Franklin Mountains. Camp Cohen Water Park is open from May to September and features multiple water slides, a lazy river and rentable pavilions. The Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course, is north of Bradley and features a 27-hole layout, a driving range and hosts tournaments.

Retail shopping and Mexican cuisine
Big-box retailers are northwest across U.S. 54, including Marshalls and Ross. Grocery stores in the area include Albertsons on Kenworthy Street and Food King on Dyer Street. The Hospitals of Providence Northeast Campus is 1 mile north of Bradley.
Restaurants south of the community on Dyer Street and McCombs Street and include a mix of chain and local destinations. Tortilleria Crystal on McCombs serves burritos, tacos and other Mexican dishes. Willie’s Brew & Q on Dyre serves barbecue pork and brisket and hosts live music.
Big-box stores provide for most of the shopping needs for Bradley residents.

Sun Metro provides bus service to Bradley along Sean Haggerty Dr and connects to the broader system. U.S. 54 forms the western edge of Bradley and leads to Downtown El Paso and the U.S.-Mexico border crossings. The nearest commercial airport is El Paso International.
