Housing prices, nightlife and a highly rated high school bring buyers to Ridge
What makes Ridge different from other El Paso communities is not only its lower housing prices and highly rated high school, but the collection of local businesses within the neighborhood. Ridge is home to Little Bit of Texas, a bar and dance hall that’s one of the most popular nightlife spots in town, as well as several family-owned Mexican restaurants, where residents can spend time hanging out with their neighbors. “Ridge is south of I-10 on the west side, and it has more of a country feel instead of urban,” says Realtor Yvonne Russell with Realty ONE Group Mendez Burk. “Usually, schools are what drive this area. It’s in the Coronado High School district, which is very popular. If you’re in that district, you want to be in Franklin or Coronado High School because they spend a lot of money on sports and stuff like that.”
Ridge is a suburban neighborhood in the heart of West El Paso.

Palm trees and short stone fences line the streets of Ridge, giving the neighborhood a classically Southwest feel. Homes here are significantly smaller than the national average, with an average home size of about 1,300 square feet. Buyers looking to build can occasionally find land for sale in Ridge.
