Neighborhood of suburban tranquility and urban conveinence
Living in Everett’s Glacier View neighborhood involves a happy-medium mix of suburban tranquility and urban benefits. “There are a lot of well-known restaurants in that area,” says Milaina West, Managing Broker at Keller Williams Greater Seattle. “You’re minutes from downtown, which is going through a $48 million revitalization.” Neighborhood restaurants vary from longtime local favorites to trendy new gems. The residential area has a woodsier environment, but it holds a diverse selection of homes and wider streets. West of the neighborhood is Interstate 5, which allows for accessible commuting. “You can easily get access anywhere,” West says. “It’s a busy area. A lot of residents that live there expect some noise from the Interstate.”
Diverse housing choice in woodsy environment
Glacier View has around 60% of its area dedicated to housing. That includes a mix of apartments, townhouses, condos and detached homes. Condos are closer to the main roads like Evergreen Way and Broadway. Prices for condos range from $290,000 to $500,000. Detached homes usually contain small to moderate size lawn spaces with shaded trees and hedges. Architecturally, there are a substantial number of midcentury moderns, cottages, and craftsman homes. Midcentury moderns and cottages can cost from $415,000 to $850,000. Craftsman-style homes can start from $500,000 to $930,000.

Home of Totem Family Diner
Glacier View residents are spoiled to have notable Everett restaurants along Evergreen Way. “Locals often head there to eat; that area has really good Mexican restaurants,” West says. “One restaurant makes really good handmade tortillas.” Locals rave at Senor Sergio Mexican Grill for its fresh Mexican dishes and customizable salsa bar. Families have been dining at the Totem Family Diner for generations. “Totem Family Diner has been the same family-owned business since the 1950s. It’s very well known.” West says. When folks sit in the casual dining room, they’re served breakfast staples or American comfort dishes. Snohomish County voted the diner for best breakfast for nine years straight. Weekly groceries can be bought at Safeway or QFC. Residents completed other shopping needs towards the Everett Mall, 3 miles south. Here, folks can find a Walmart Supercenter, T.J. Maxx, Old Navy and Ulta.
Nearby to many neighborhood parks
For outdoor recreation, kids enjoy the swings and climbing areas within the playground of Emma Yule Park. Casual athletes and hikers may head to Forest Park, where multiple athletic fields allow for competitive games of pickleball, basketball and street hockey. Also, in this park, hikers can explore the wooded trails while kids splash around in the water playground. Dog owners frequently visit Lowell Park for its off-leash dog area and open fields. Bikers, hikers and joggers utilize the 12 miles of the Interurban Trail, which goes through the Interurban Trolley route from the early 20th century. On those rainy days, folks head to Evergreen Lanes for a bowling adventure.

The neighborhood was located close enough to town in order to walk to the store, yet also far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. I loved the area and its proximity to walking trails and schools. Ultimately loved living here and would recommend it
