Furst Ranch, a master-planned community in Flower Mound , Texas, is the largest development ever approved by the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex suburb. Plans call for it to span more than 2,000 acres upon completion, which is not expected until the middle of the decade. Compared to other Flower Mound communities, it will be more than twice the size of Wellington and about three times the size of Bridlewood.

Homes
Highland Homes, Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes and Shaddock Homes are involved in the community's initial development. The early offerings are large homes incorporating elements of several architectural styles. Square footage ranges from 2,100-plus to 4,600-plus. These brick-built properties are designed with the Texas weather in mind. Driveways and attached garages are standard, and several offer additional garage space. Prices typically range from the low $600,000s to more than $1.2 million.
As the community develops, special assessment fees could be applied to cover the costs of maintaining infrastructure such as streets and recreational amenities.
