The neighborhood is full of unique, vintage homes
In Lafayette Place, residential streets flow around the neighborhood’s namesake park, known for how laid-back the atmosphere feels. “The farther south you go, the quieter it gets. Everybody wants to be in the 46807 ZIP code,” says Realtor Nancey Weaver of Keller Williams Fort Wayne, who has nearly a decade of experience selling homes. You’ll find that homes were mainly built in the early to mid-20th-century, many of which have been carefully cared for over the years. Architecture is classic and gives off a historic air, ranging from Tudor cottages to American Foursquares and Craftsman homes. For the most part, you’ll be looking at sales prices between the low $100,000s and low $200,000s, though investment properties can easily sell under that mark.
