Classic, well-preserved architecture on Oakdale's tree-lined streets

In Oakdale, homes are anything but cookie-cutter, with most built between the early and mid-20th centuries. You’ll find a wide range of architectural styles, from Craftsman to Colonial Revivals and Tudor-inspired cottages. “This neighborhood is one of the most popular within the ‘07 zip code because of the historic homes, tree-lined streets and great sense of community,” says Ben Wahli, a Realtor with 4th Street Real Estate who's been selling homes in the city for nearly a decade. “Oakdale is different because it’s [centered around] one street all the way down, so the sense of community is block by block.” Most properties sell between the low $100,000s to high $200,000s, though large, exceptionally renovated historic homes can easily reach into the $400,000s.
