Midcentury homes on spacious lots for homebuyers
In Sunnybrook Acres, streets are quiet, lawns are nicely mowed and the atmosphere is distinctly suburban. Here, you’ll mostly find ranch-style homes and split-levels from the 1950s and 1960s, with an occasional contemporary property jumping into the mix. “With the new building downtown, it’s gotten more expensive. You can definitely find more affordable options here, near the outskirts of the city limits,” says Travis Striggle, a Realtor with Mike Thomas Associates with nearly a decade of experience selling homes. The sales price range, for the most part, falls between the high $100,000s and mid $200,000s. Investment properties can sell for much lower, and completely remodeled homes for much higher, into the mid-$300,000 range.
