Twentieth-century homes sit along sidewalk-lined streets
Sprawling ranch-style and Colonial Revival-inspired massed two-story homes are popular here, but a few Tudor Revival and Cape Cods dot the streets, too. Despite many of the homes here being built between 1970 and 1990, the market is competitive. “The market slowed down a little bit now, but most of them in the early part of 2023 were selling in the first two or three days. And some of them were going for over full price,” Koeppe says. Homes start around $210,000 and can sell for up to $290,000. The average home price is $277,725.Kreager Park is a recreational behemoth offering athletic fields and playgrounds
The 218-acre Kreager Park is less than 2 miles away and has fitness equipment, a soccer field, tennis courts, lawn space, a walking path and a playground. The play area, called Taylor’s Dream, was developed by Boundless Playgrounds, a nonprofit that specializes in inclusive playgrounds. It features a splash pad, a dinosaur-themed multi-sensory area and a space for mixed solo and group play. Residents can also access the 26-mile Rivergreenway biking and walking trail from Kreager Park. Jehl Park is another nearby city recreational ground. This 3.7-acre park is less than a mile from the neighborhood and has a tennis court, basketball court, playground, walking path and lawn space.Snider High School emphasizes biomedical sciences
