A quiet suburb within walking distance of vast amenities

Trees cluster around houses on manicured lots in the small suburban neighborhood of Valley Park Forest. This quiet suburb is located just over 5 miles from Downtown Fort Wayne and is within walking distance of many amenities. “It’s extremely close to shopping and libraries… Elementary schools are within walking distance,” says Kedric Koeppe, a Realtor at Century 21 Bradley Realty, Inc. Koeppe has been selling real estate here for 38 years. Well-kept sidewalks line the streets and large community parks are also just minutes away, making this community active.

Twentieth-century homes sit along sidewalk-lined streets

Sprawling ranch-style and Colonial Revival-inspired massed two-story homes are popular here, but a few Tudor Revival and Cape Cods dot the streets, too. Despite many of the homes here being built between 1970 and 1990, the market is competitive. “The market slowed down a little bit now, but most of them in the early part of 2023 were selling in the first two or three days. And some of them were going for over full price,” Koeppe says. Homes start around $210,000 and can sell for up to $290,000. The average home price is $277,725.
