Commuters can take State Route 25 for a direct connection to the Queensboro Bridge. John F. Garden City’s shopping and dining is primarily concentrated along Franklin Avenue. Locals have quick access to grocery stores like Kings Food Markets and other chains like CVS. The village has a range of dining options, including Salvadoran, Italian and Belgian eateries, as well as American favorites like barbeque and seafood.
Roosevelt Field, the largest mall on Long Island, is also just 2 miles east and features nearly 300 stores, a food court and an AMC movie theater. There’s also a Whole Foods Market and a Trader Joe’s close to the mall.
