"There are lots of trees; it's a very pretty environment," says Terrie Booker, a Realtor with Wilson Realty Co. "People take pride in their homes and yards." Home prices start in the upper $100,000s, and some houses sell as high as the upper $200,000s.

Shops and entertainment at Four Seasons Town Centre
Lamrocton doesn't have many businesses, but there are several shops and restaurants within 2 miles of the neighborhood. Options include:
Darryl's Wood Fired Grill, which has wood-fired steaks
Li Ming's Global Market, an Asian grocery store with produce and fresh seafood
Pavilion Restaurant, a longtime local spot serving Greek and Italian staples
Stamey's Barbecue, a Greensboro institution since 1930 serving barbecue pit-cooked over hardwood coals\
Lamrocton residents live near one of Greensboro's biggest shopping destinations, Four Seasons Town Centre. The indoor mall houses more than 100 stores, from department-store anchors such as JCPenney to shops run by fashion brands such as H&M and Vans. At Round1, you can bowl a game or two during a visit to the mall.

Fishing at Hester Park and sports at Hampton Park
A pair of parks are within 2 miles of Lamrocton. Hester Park centers around a stocked fishing lake with piers for casting. A walking and exercise trail stretches more than a mile through the park, with fitness stations the path. Tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and playgrounds round out the park's amenities. Hampton Park is much smaller, but its softball field, playground and basketball court are only half a mile outside the neighborhood.

Lamrocton is served by Guilford County Schools, a highly rated public school district. At Smith High School, located just outside the neighborhood, students can take Advanced Placement courses and join an International Baccalaureate program. In addition to its academic purpose, Smith High serves as a community recreation center. "Smith High School's soccer field is always filled with people," Booker says. "There's a community club that competes there. When I lived in the area, I'd walk along the track with my mother. Even the school's swimming pool is open to the public for swimming lessons."
Easy access to the Greensboro Urban Loop
Lamrocton is within a mile of the Greensboro Urban Loop, a beltway around the city made up of several interstates, and U.S. Route 220, which residents can use to the make the 6-mile drive to Downtown Greensboro. “One of the things I most enjoyed about living around here was having easy access to the highway,” Booker says. "You can get in and out of the Triad so easily.” Greensboro Transit Agency buses stop along West Vandalia Road and take passengers to Four Seasons Town Centre.
Lamrocton is close to several business-lined highways.
Interstate 40 extends throughout Greensboro and across North Carolina.
