Annual events in Griffith
Griffith puts on events in Central Park throughout the year. Starting in May, the Griffith Central Market is held every Friday through mid-September, featuring live music, food trucks, craft vendors and kid-friendly activities. July ushers in the 4th of July Parade and Park Full of Art, a juried show for oil paintings, sculpture and photography. Also around this time of year is the popular Broad Street Blues and BBQ Festival. The first Saturday of August brings Symphony in the Park, featuring a performance by the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. A landmark army tank and a control tower
