Duck Lake Pines Park is another popular spot for its playgrounds, sports fields and scenic views of Duck Lake. Horse riding is also immensely popular in Highland Charter Township, Michigan’s first designated “equestrian community.” Venues like Karner Blue Stables allow riders to train and care for their horses so that they can freely explore the nearby riding fields atop their equine companion.

Highland Charter Township offers a diverse dining scene, with a range of culinary delights to satisfy all tastes. The Lift @STS, a full-service bar and restaurant, is locally popular with large parties, as it features three golf simulators, a putting green and entire golf rooms while serving both heart-healthy food and heavier fare like burgers made from wild game. Another locally acclaimed venue is the Highland Smokehouse, which is renowned for is its tangy barbecue brisket and pulled pork sandwiches.
