There are a few notable restaurants within Kentucky Hills. Smokey’s BBQ has been around since 1971. You can order ribs, chicken and sandwiches, like pulled pork and beef. Locals can have mixed plates, with three ribs, two meats, and two sides. Sides include coleslaw, potato salad, beans, smoked sausage and loaded fries. Kross Lounge & Ernie’s Restaurant has been part of the community since 1945. It is where residents can go after a long day of work. Order the Colossal Tenderloin, their most popular sandwich, which is made with tenderized pork that is lightly breaded and fried. HiBoy Drive-In is famous for their old-school American burgers. They also have shakes and other sweet treats.

Kentucky Hills residents are only a few miles away from the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum. The museum educates visitors on the life and legacy of the 33rd president of the United States. With residents living only 11 miles away from Kansas City, they can experience the bustling of city life at their own leisure.
