Dining options are limited in the neighborhood, but there are a few favorites that residents flock to when they don't feel like cooking at home. At Chan An, locals settle into cozy booths and eat Chinese classics like wonton soup and fried rice or choose from various Thai curries. Locals get fresh air at Foster Park
Many locals spend their free time in Foster Park, a green space with multiple amenities. The Montour School District serves Ingram's kids
Students in Ingram often start school at Montour Elementary and then head to David E. Williams Middle School and Montour High School. The Montour School District encompasses all three schools, and each has an A rating on Niche. Montour High serves about 903 students and has a student-teacher ratio of 15-to-1. It is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League, a division of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League, except for ice hockey, which competes in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League, boys and girls bowling, which competes in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Bowling League and Ultimate Frisbee, which competes in the Pittsburgh High School Ultimate League.

Four miles from downtown Pittsburgh
Ingram is located about four miles west of downtown Pittsburgh, which makes it easy to work and play in Steel City. For those times when residents need to go farther, the Pittsburgh International Airport is about 16 miles away and offers flights throughout North America and Europe.
The West Busway goes through Ingram giving residents a quick and easy way to get around town.
