Preserving history in midtown Kansas City
Squier Park is a midtown Kansas City neighborhood listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Here, flags touting Historic Squier Park adorn the streetlights lining wide, landscaped streets. Development here dates back to the 1880s, when the neighborhood hosted the elite professionals of Kansas City. Today, Squier Park attracts anyone looking for historic charm close to Country Club Plaza, Westport and other midtown highlights. “The houses are older, but younger people moving in and restoring them has brought new life to the area,” says ReeceNichols Realtor Kevin Sieker, a longtime Kansas City resident.
