Vineyard Estates centers around convenience
Whether you want to live mere minutes from Kansas City’s core or have a quick commute to work, convenience is a constant in Vineyard Estates. The neighborhood is sandwiched between several major thoroughfares and an industrial sector that includes Hiland Dairy and Harvesters Food Bank. “There are a few factories in the area, so many people live and work here,” says Marline Brown, a Realtor with Murrell Homes. “But even if someone doesn’t work at one of those places, it's close to so much more. You can get to all of downtown KC in less than 15 minutes.”

Ranch-style homes line residential streets
The neighborhood is filled with minimal traditional ranch styles from the 1950s. They cost anywhere between $80,000 and $130,000, a range significantly lower than a Kansas City home's average $250,000 selling price. For this amount of money, the houses have two to three bedrooms, private driveways and plenty of promise. “It’s a good area to invest in because the prices are low and the location is great, so a few of the houses have updated exteriors and new kitchens and bathrooms,” says Brown.
