She also recommends that residents travel further into Lakeland for dining. “Scarpa’s Italian is one of my favorites. And Bay Street Bistro is delicious too,” Blackburn says. Lakeside Village has retailers like Bath & Body Works and Versona. Residents buy their own cooking ingredients at the Publix just off West Pipkin Road. On Drane Field Road, Fancy Farms Market sells locally grown fresh produce.A drive-in theatre, a flight museum and more
CMX Cinemas has a location in Lakeside Village, and in the summer and fall, folks pull up to Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre to watch new film releases. Residents explore aviation history and look at classic planes at the Florida Air Museum, located within Winston. The museum highlights important historical flight figures and regularly hosts educational experiences, camps, tours and more. Residents travel to Tampa to root for professional sports teams like the Buccaneers. People drive more than 30 miles west to Tampa via Interstate 4 and 70 miles northeast to Orlando via Interstate 4 and State Route 429.
