Between Man o’ War and New Circle Road
River Park is a car-dependent neighborhood in southeast Lexington between Man o’ War and New Circle Road. “It’s almost right between the two circles,” says Realtor Bob Sophiea. “It’s a very convenient place to live. New Circle’s one of the quickest ways to get around.” This location serves residents because, aside from some being able to walk to Millcreek Elementary or River Hill Park, people who live here rely on cars to get around. The neighborhood’s about 6 miles from downtown Lexington and 4 miles from the University of Kentucky. The neighborhood’s Lextran bus stop takes passengers to the university in 20 minutes and downtown in 30. The nearest hospital, Baptist Health Lexington, is 4 miles north, and the Blue Grass Airport is 9 miles west.
River Hill Park and Proof Fitness
River Park is home to River Hill Park, a neighborhood park known for its disc golf course. In addition, it has a walking path that loops the park, pickleball courts and a playground. The park also has a baseball diamond and a full-sized outdoor basketball court. Less than a mile away, Proof Fitness is a Lexington-based gym with personal trainers and onsite childcare.
