Residents of Landmark get a little more land
For homebuyers seeking some land, Landmark is right on the mark. This semi-rural community of 3,500 people offers residents some elbow room and a quick trip to Little Rock. “It’s rural for Little Rock, so you get land there. You’re going to get a little more house and a little more land,” says Buffie Howard, a Realtor with Truman Ball Real Estate, who has been selling homes in the area for 20 years. “It’s not isolated at all. The location is great. It’s close to downtown Little Rock and it’s close to the freeway, so it’s an easy trip.”
Homes in rural and suburban settings
Located 15 miles south of Little Rock via Interstate 530, those considering a move to Landmark will primarily find homes built from the 1960s through the 1980s. Dominant styles include ranch homes and split levels. Properties here can be found in rural and suburban settings. They may rest along sidewalk-lined streets with spacious lots in subdivisions or on a few acres adorned with towering pine trees that are common to the area. The average list price hovers around $225,000. A three-bedroom, two-bath on a half-acre may sell for around $200,000, while a more spacious three-bedroom, two-bath with two acres may cost around $300,000. “It’s still a good market there. It’s taking a few weeks for things to sell,” Howard says. “A lot of it depends on whether a home is priced right and in good condition.”
Wide, low ranch homes are popular in Landmark.
