Less than 3 miles east is the Park Plaza Mall, which features more retail options, including two Dillard’s, American Eagle and Eddie Bauer. Residents can use the Rock Region Metro bus line to commute around Little Rock, picking up the 05 – West Markham line. To the west and south of the neighborhood are a pair of auxiliary interstates that commuters can use to get around the city. Interstate 630 to the south is an east-west connector and leads right into downtown Little Rock, while Interstate 430 starts at Interstate 30 and ends at Interstate 40, bypassing Little Rock and North Little Rock. “You can just hop on the interstate in any direction and easily get to where you need to go,” Keener says.The largest non-profit hospital in Arkansas
Just south of West Markham is the Baptist Health Medical Center – Little Rock. The facility has 843 beds, making it Arkansas's largest privately owned, not-for-profit medical center. It is a Level II Trauma center and offers multiple specialties, including cardiology and heart transplants.
