Conveniently located community between Midtown and West Little Rock

At the crisscross of Rock Creek and Grassy Flat Creek, West Markham is a small neighborhood that sits under the shade of copious trees. The community is along the road by the same name, a main thoroughfare of Little Rock, providing ample access to all amenities, the interstate and downtown. “West Markham is just in a perfect location,” says Charles Keener, a Realtor with Re/Max Affiliates Realty, with more than 15 years of experience in the market. “The price points in the neighborhood make it a good place for entry-level buyers. It is also convenient to multiple medical facilities if that is something you are looking for. There are plenty of shopping centers in almost any direction you head out of the neighborhood.”

Midcentury properties in a prime location

Tight winding streets under the canopy of shaded trees feature a collection of homes primarily constructed in the 1960s. The home inventory is predominantly brick ranch homes, but West Markham offers occasional split-level properties. Prices in the area range from $109,000 to around $300,000, depending on square footage and condition. “At the price point, listings in the area are hot commodities. They’re older homes, but the lots provide space where you can make improvements or add-on to what you want it to be,” Keener says.
