If they are priced right, they’ll go quickly.”

Northgate is an established neighborhood with green grass and developed trees. “It’s not cookie-cutter,” Perkins says. “They started building in the 1980s, so the landscaping is mature.” Sidewalks line wide, walkable streets and above-ground powerlines cast shadows onto backyards enclosed by wooden fences. Brick ranch-style homes are common and typically range in price from $320,000 to $400,000. “A lot of the lots over there are huge,” Perkins says. “It’s on the unusual side.” Over half of Northgate residents rent, and apartments near Loop 250 and Holiday Hill Road accommodate them.
