Housing ranges from renovated homes to fixer-uppers

Early 20th-century bungalows line the streets alongside brick Tudors and colonials. Many homes still feature classic details from the era, including hardwood floors and built-in cabinetry. Housing conditions vary, with some properties offering modern updates while others present opportunities for renovation. The median sale price is around $200,000, with homes generally ranging from about $80,000 to the low $300,000s. That makes Rufus King one of the more expensive neighborhoods in the area, with home prices typically higher than those in nearby Lincoln Park, Old North Milwaukee and Garden Homes.
