“People don’t have to go far for anything,” says Hudson, “there are shopping centers around the neighborhood, and all the downtown activity is a few miles away.” On any given day, neighbors walk to the heart of the neighborhood along Halls Mill Road to get small items at convenience stores and to visit their favorite local hangouts. Folks spend their nights listening to soulful live toons at Blues Tavern or celebrating a special occasion while dining on German fare in Osman’s cozy dining room.
