Convenient, spacious suburb of Monee

The village of Monee, founded in 1853, is a close community with a small-town feel. Residents of Monee can enjoy a quiet, rural atmosphere with a degree of separation from the business found in Downtown Chicago, 40 miles to the north. “Monee is off the beaten path,” says local real estate agent Lindsay Badali with Century 21 Pride Realty. “And you can find properties with a lot more land than in surrounding neighborhoods, which is a big draw for homebuyers.” Monee locals also have convenient access to everyday necessities, including markets, big grocery stores within 5 miles, public schools and parks. With South Governors Highway (Illinois Route 50) cutting through the neighborhood and Interstate 57 nearby, Monee provides major thoroughfares to get into Chicago and other neighborhoods in Will County.

Larger lots in Monee and diverse architecture

With development in the area slowly increasing over the past century, homebuyers can expect to find a variety of property styles in the area, from Cape Cods and minimalist traditional homes to modern builds and split levels. Most houses sit upon quarter-acre lots, with larger homes being more common toward the south end of the neighborhood. Homebuyers in Monee can also find a wide selection of property costs in the area, with prices ranging from $40,000 manufactured homes to $1.5 million expansive ranch styles on 40 acre lots.
