Lely Golf Estates
Spanish-style condos and single-family homes
Properties overlook the water features and greens of the public course, and clusters of condos and townhouses are interspersed between subdivisions of single-family homes. Most homes in the community are single-story, Spanish-style properties with stucco exteriors and red clay roofs, and they typically sell for between $450,000 and $725,000. Front yards are adorned with palm trees, flowering plants and fresh-cut cut grass, and most backyards have attached lanais with inground pools. Condos typically sell for between $185,000 and $285,000 and tend to have several-hundred-dollar monthly HOA fees.Golfing, walking and swimming near Hibiscus Golf Club
Marlene Graham, Broker/Owner at Tropics Real Estate in Naples, says she recommends Lely Golf Estates to potential homebuyers in the area who want to maximize their access to golf amenities. "If you want to play golf every single day, you have Hibiscus, Lely has three golf courses a mile away and you're within 15 minutes of Treviso Bay," she says. For leisurely walks or bike rides, The Rich King Memorial Greenway has 3 miles of paved paths connecting to the neighborhood.Neighborhood residents can drive to Naples' miles of beaches on the Gulf Coast in under 20 minutes, and Marco Island, a popular area for swimming, boating and fishing, is less than 15 miles south. As the neighborhood is in a low-lying area close to the coast, FEMA categorizes the area as a flood zone. Therefore, some mortgage lenders require that homebuyers purchase flood insurance for their property.
Local dining surrounds the community
Hibiscus Golf Club’s clubhouse is home to Mulligan's Bar & Grill, a casual pub serving salads, pizzas and sandwiches. There are several more casual and contemporary restaurants in and around the community, including Frankie's Authentic Italian Deli, serving pizzas and cold-cut sandwiches, and the higher-end Lima Restaurant, serving Peruvian favorites like ceviche and lomo saltado. For groceries, Publix is just outside the neighborhood off Thomasson Drive. Additionally, downtown Naples has boutique shopping and local cafes and restaurants steps from the beach 5 miles away. "If you walk down 5th Avenue, people are outside dining and wearing all sorts of clothes; some are fancy, and some are wearing cutoffs," Graham says. "It's so friendly here. You have an amalgamation of people from all over the world."Collier County Schools serve the neighborhood
Children living in the neighborhood may begin at Lely Elementary School and Manatee Middle School, both of which earn B grades from Niche. Lely High School, which also earns a B, offers several academic and career pathways. Students can enroll in aviation, medical information technology and criminal justice pathways, among others, in addition to advanced placement and dual enrollment classes.Traveling by car to downtown Naples and Fort Meyers
Public transportation options in the area are limited. Drivers can follow U.S. 41 into downtown Naples or Naples Airport, which is less than 5 miles northwest of the neighborhood. Physicians Regional hospital on Collier Boulevard is the nearest hospital, less than 4 miles east. Fort Meyers is about 45 miles north and accessible via Interstate 75.
