North Naples offers its residents proximity to shopping, golf courses, large parks and the stunning Vanderbilt Beach. The area contains several private communities with amenities, including Wilshire Lakes, which stands out for its variety of housing options. If they have kids, there’s friends here for them. The schools are phenomenal, and it’s a safe community. At least 75% of people are full-time residents, which is kind of on the higher side for some of these communities.”

“Wilshire Lakes has a lot of variety, with some condos near the front and then mostly single-family homes and some townhouses in the back,” Boorom says. “It’s not very cookie-cutter. The community across the street is all villas, and they all look alike. We probably have at least 20 different varieties of single-family homes – one-stories, two-stories, and they vary in size from three to five bedrooms. The community’s at least 20-something years old, so the trees have matured. The nature looks great.” The community features Spanish-style and traditional architecture with a variety of layouts and exterior colors. “There are two community pools, but most of the single-family homes have their own pools,” Boorom says. Recent sales prices range from $300,000 to $450,000 for condos and $600,000 to $2.6 million for single-family homes.

Collier County Public Schools is one of Florida’s top school districts
Collier County Public Schools gets an A from Niche. Vineyards Elementary School earns an A and the A-rated North Naples Middle School tops the list of best public middle schools in the county. Aubrey Rogers High School opened in 2023 and has not yet been rated on Niche. Students at Aubrey Rogers can choose curriculum pathways in one of five career academies: arts and technology, business, engineering and trades, health sciences or law and public safety.

Amenities, parks, golf and Vanderbilt Beach
Wilshire Lake’s recreation amenities include two clubhouses, a pool and spa, tennis courts, bike paths and nature trails. The community backs up to North Collier Regional Park, a large park with sports fields, walking paths, a public pool and a gym. “You can cross through a little path in the back [of the neighborhood] that gets you there,” Boorom says. “I can just go through a little wooded path, and I’m in the park.” Two miles west, Tiburón Golf Club has award-winning Greg Norman-designed golf courses, routinely ranking in the top 20 Florida golf courses in Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine. Another perk of living in Wilshire Lakes is its proximity to the coast. “When I pull out of my community, it’s a 5-mile ride straight to Vanderbilt Beach, which is a great public beach,” Boorom says.

Five miles west, “There’s an outdoor mall that’s really geared for the 25- to 50-year-olds called Mercato,” Boorom says. “It has some of the nightlife clubs that stay open till 1 a.m., as well as restaurants and a lot of boutique-type stores.” There’s a Publix only 2 miles west of Wilshire Lakes and plenty of dining options in the area. “There are probably 50 restaurants within a 5-mile radius,” Boorom says.
