Modest coastal homes sit behind high-rise condos
Two-bedroom condo units facing the water typically sell for between $200,000 and $600,000, and smaller properties include ranch-style homes and cottages. “It’s what you think of when you think of a beach home, not these huge, ten-bedroom things they’re putting up now,” Campbell says. These smaller, single-family properties typically start at $220,000 and reach around $600,000. A handful of larger homes closer to the water can go for upward of $1 million. Potential homebuyers should note that some of Windy Hill is in a flood zone, meaning property owners may be required to purchase flood insurance as part of their mortgage agreement.Locals have their pick of coastal recreation
