Those on the lakes or subdivisions can have prices escalate over $500 thousand. Standard amenities to homes are driveways and garages or gracious front lawns. Residents can enjoy a breezy hike within the 7 miles of looped trails. Anglers can cast their line within the 1.5-acre pond. Fel-Pro RRR Conservation Area is located next door south. Besides enjoying the natural habitat, visitors can participate in hiking, fishing, or picnicking activities. Then, a competitive game can be played on the sand volleyball, basketball, and disc golf course. Lions Park is 105.4 acres, consisting of walking trails and athletic fields. Kids and teens can also enjoy the playground and skate park. Those who love to be near water will enjoy the swimming options available at the Oakwood Hills North Beach.
Northwest Highway will handle most shopping and dining needs, combining local and national names. Conscious Cup is the local chain that can help with your morning pick-me-up, serving espresso and coffee beverages. Tangie’s Kitchen is a soul-food style restaurant. You’ll find the classics of chicken, ribs, collard greens and macaroni and cheese. Have a date night or special celebration at Kyoto Japanese Steak House. Try some of their fresh sushi dishes and enjoy a personal hibachi experience. Groceries can be grabbed nearby at the Jewel-Osco within the Cary Shopping Mall. Towards Crystal Lake, there are big box retailers of Target, Sam’s Club, TJ Maxx, and Burlington.
Events in the area mostly take place within Lions Park, especially during the summer months. Cary Park District holds its annual Summer Celebration during the Fourth of July weekend. Punk and rock classics are on the playlist for the two-hour events. Families can listen to tunes while chowing on meals from local food trucks and aww as the sky lights up at the closing fireworks show. The park also holds a Summer Concert and Children’s Entertainment Series.
