Fellowship’s residential landscape combines suburban subdivisions with easy access to retail and dining with picturesque rural scenery. Arable land, grazing pastures and horse farms are familiar sights along the community’s country roads. Most of the more traditional suburban homes were built after 2000, with contemporary, ranch-style and manufactured homes being the most common architectural styles. Pastures with roving friendly horses are on either side of Fellowships’ streets, which lead locals to luxury equine resorts and local parks. The World Equestrian Center is the focal point of Fellowship, providing almost 400 acres of cutting-edge equestrian tracks and arenas for both equine and canine shows. Southwest State Road 200 and other major roadways are lined with franchise retailers and restaurants. Locals shop at grocery stores like Publix and warehouse stores like Sam’s Club and Lowe’s Improvement. Public school students are served by Marion County Public Schools, starting at primary schools such as College Park Elementary. This school has an overall B-minus rating on Niche and teaches from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Students move on to intermediate and secondary institutions such as Dunnellon Middle and High School. Both schools have at least an overall C-plus rating according to Niche. Dunnellon High School offers a range of specialized academics and vocational programs, giving students a head start in career fields such as performing arts, engineering and medical science.

Despite the prevalence of horseback riding, getting around the community primarily depends on cars and trucks. Locals live and travel along traditional suburban avenues and major roads like US Highway 27 and State Road 40. Frequent flyers enjoy Fellowship's proximity to Ocala International Airport.
