Rural homesteads and suburban sprawl close to Downtown Ocala

Spread out along rolling pastures and quaint suburbs is the community of Fellowship. “You got the World Equestrian Center and Downtown Ocala close by, so there’s a nice mix of suburbs and rural scenery,” says local EXP Realtor Joe Brown. Established horse farms and contemporary suburban homes give residents “the best of both worlds,” continues Joe Brown, and most locals are within a short drive of the World Equestrian Center and Downtown Ocala.

Fellowship's mix of rural sprawl and suburbia

Fellowship’s residential landscape combines suburban subdivisions with easy access to retail and dining with picturesque rural scenery. Arable land, grazing pastures and horse farms are familiar sights along the community’s country roads. Most of the more traditional suburban homes were built after 2000, with contemporary, ranch-style and manufactured homes being the most common architectural styles. There are also a handful of mansions, farmhouses and homes in golf communities. These homes typically sit on traditional suburban tracts where locals walk and bike around on wide streets and sidewalks. “The cost of living is very affordable,” says EXP Realtor Joe Brown. Area home prices run from $156,000 for a modest two-bedroom ranch home to $785,000 and more for larger homes in golf communities and estates.
