Glen Eagles
Broad range of traditional-style homes
Developed between the 1980s through 2005, the community has a variety of traditional-style homes on large lots with meticulous landscaping. Most have brick exteriors, two- to three-car garages, and circular or multicar driveways. “There are a lot of young families, and it’s very family-oriented,” says Ronna Chitwood, managing broker and owner of Real Broker LLC-Capstone Home Team. Homes under 3,000 square feet with three or four bedrooms can range from $300,000 to $400,000. Larger houses can cost between $425,000 and $600,000, depending on size. The neighborhood’s most expensive homes can range from $600,000 to $900,000, growing in price with increased lot sizes, more bedrooms, proximity to the neighborhood pond that doubles as a reservoir or amenities like an in-ground pool. The neighborhood has a mandatory $200 annual HOA fee for homes purchased after November 2021.The third-best school district in Oklahoma
Kids living in Glen Eagles attend schools in the Edmond Public Schools district, rated the third-best school district in the state by Niche. Kids in pre-k through fifth grade can attend Charles Haskell Elementary School, rated A-minus by Niche, before heading to A-rated Summit Middle School. With neat streets lined with mature trees and plenty of grassy common areas, neighborhood residents don't have to go far to enjoy a fresh-air stroll. "My seller was an avid walker," Robertson says. "She walked the neighborhood all the time, and her husband loved to fish in the pond." Nature lovers can travel 6 miles west to Martin Park Nature Center, which features 2.5 miles of shady woodland trails, abundant grassland, gentle streams, and a nature center that offers wildlife and educational programming. Those who prefer indoor activities — especially the young and young-at-heart — head to Main Event Entertainment for bowling, laser tag, an arcade, glow-in-the-dark mini golf and more.Close to the Chisholm Creek entertainment district
One of Glen Eagles’ biggest perks is its location. Stella Nova Coffee is just outside the neighborhood and is a popular place to get the day started. The neighborhood is 2 miles north of the Chisholm Creek shopping and entertainment district, which has restaurants like Riserva Bar + Tapas, a globally inspired eatery known for its shareable plates and cocktails. The shopping corridors of Memorial Road and Pennsylvania Avenue are also nearby, which have retail centers with various stores like Super Target, Marshall's and Best Buy. Roughtail Brewing Co. also calls Memorial Road home and specializes in hop-forward homemade brews and burgers, wings and bar fare. Groceries are only a mile away at Walmart or Crest Foods.Twelve miles south of Downtown OKC
