A suburb with quick access to Paducah amenities

Three miles west of downtown Paducah, Valley Road offers stability and convenience. "It's a great location close to entertainment and shopping in the downtown area," says Realtor Jay Wommack, who sells homes in Valley Road with RE/MAX Real Estate Associates. The neighborhood features mostly ranch-style and new traditional homes on quarter to half-acre lots with shade trees and decorative gardens. "These are nice homes with well-kept lawns, and the neighborhood has a very friendly atmosphere." With two medical centers and several highly-rated public schools within 2 miles of the neighborhood, commutes for medical professionals and students are relatively short.

Eclectic single-family homes

"These houses do not usually require a lot of renovation," Wommack says. Most houses have front porches that are about 50 to 100 feet from the road. Brick ranch-style houses cost between $200,000 and $450,000. Larger homes in a variety of styles, such as Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival and French Provincial, can range from $500,000 to $800,000.
