An exclusive guard-gated neighborhood with a rural feel
The Palm Beach Gardens community of Steeplechase is a guard-gated collection of over 300 homes, tucked into a pocket among some of the most popular golf courses in the area. “When you drive through those gates, it’s like entering the countryside," says Barry Gutknecht, a local real estate agent with Douglas Elliman. "You get acre-plus homesites, no two homes are alike, and the privacy here is increasingly hard to find in South Florida.” Architecture here serves as the centerpiece rather than a communal lounge or clubhouse; the average custom-built estate here spans over 3,000 square feet and sits on a lot of more than an acre. A few miles from Steeplechase, golf-loving residents have quick access to the PGA National Resort and The Preserve at Ironhorse. The neighborhood has a 2 out of 10 CAP index score, meaning crime here is comparatively lower than the national average.
Steeplechase is guarded by around-the-clock security.
Steeplechase residents can enjoy the many nearby parks and recreation areas.

Custom-built estates on large lots
Mediterranean-inspired villas with terracotta roofs, clean-lined Contemporary Modern estates, Spanish Colonial Revival homes and luxury ranch-style homes line the neighborhood’s wide streets. The community’s evolution is visible in its two distinct property eras: original 1980s-90s homes offer one-story layouts on one-acre lots, typically featuring four to five bedrooms and priced between $1.5 million and $2 million. In contrast, post-2020 construction introduces two-story designs with five to six bedrooms on slightly expanded lots, commanding $4 million to $5 million. These newer estates often framing circular driveways, but nearly every home in the neighborhood is equipped with swimming pools.
Steeplechase has some of the most beautiful homes in the area.
Homes in Steeplechase sit on very large lots.

MacArthur Beach State Park is about 9 miles from Steeplechase, featuring nearly 2 miles of pristine shoreline highlighted by a 1,600-foot boardwalk through mangrove estuaries, sea turtle nesting grounds and kayak access to Munyon Island.
Shopping plazas and dining on Northlake
Northlake Boulevard forms the commercial heart of the area, running east-west just north of Steeplechase. Traveling east on the boulevard leads to Gardens Towne Square, where residents can find essentials at Publix Super Market or dine at Lingonberry Roastery & Bakery – a neighborhood favorite for artisan breads, flaky pastries, specialty espresso drinks and made-to-order sandwiches. One Thai Restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine in the same lot. Directly adjacent, Northmill Plaza complements these offerings with HomeGoods’ home decor selections and Joseph’s Classic Market, an Italian specialty grocer stocked with imported pantry staples, fresh pasta varieties and cured meats.
