Outdoor recreation and suburban living in Mountaingate

Located in North Phoenix near Cave Creek Road and Loop 101, Mountaingate has a calm, suburban feel while staying close to many of the area's most popular amenities. Homebuyers are often drawn to the neighborhood for its highly rated schools, access to hiking trails and sports facilities, as well as relatively low housing costs compared to some nearby communities.

Close to Desert Ridge but at a lower price point

Single-family homes make up the largest percentage of housing, and most were built from the late 1990s onward. Many have Spanish- or Mediterranean-inspired architecture, along with backyard pools and attached garages. The majority of houses sell for between the mid-$300,000s and around $1.3 million.

The single-family sale price in Mountaingate is around $700,000, well below the single-family median in the nearby Desert Ridge development. “You’re close to Desert Ridge, which has great shopping and dining, but you’re not paying Desert Ridge prices,” says Kirsten Myers, Realtor with Sold by Myers, Re/Max Summit Properties.

Mountaingate also includes a handful of newer multifamily developments as well. Condos rarely come on the market, but townhouses generally sell from the low $300,000s to the mid-$400,000s.
