Students in North Ridge can attend schools in the Wake County Public Schools System, including North Ridge Elementary School and West Millbrook Magnet Middle School, which both earn A-minus grades on Niche. Take Falls of Neuse Road to most Raleigh points of interest
North Ridge residents can reach most points in Raleigh by traveling along Falls of Neuse Road along the neighborhood’s west side or Interstate 540 to the north. Citizens are about 10 miles north of Downtown Raleigh and 18 miles east of Research Triangle Park. The nearest hospital, WakeMed North, is 4 miles north of the neighborhood. Flights out of the Raleigh area depart from Raleigh-Durham International Airport, 17 miles west. GoRaleigh bus stops are available along Falls of Neuse Road near the neighborhood’s east side, but residents will likely need to own a car to travel to nearby businesses and restaurants.
Music, sports and more around Raleigh
North Ridge residents are about 5 miles away from the North Hills retail complex, one of midtown Raleigh’s hubs for dining and shopping. Each spring and summer, North Hills hosts the Midtown Beach Music Series, a set of weekly concerts featuring local acts on the Midtown Park stage. Residents can also catch a variety of sports events at Raleigh venues year-round, from NC State college football at Carter-Finley Stadium to concerts at the Red Hat Amphitheater.
